Which years are Ox years?
Ox years are 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021, 2033. Each begins at Ipchun, around February 4, so if you were born in January or early February, check the calculator — you may belong to the previous year’s animal.

Is the Ox year counted from Lunar New Year or Ipchun?
Both conventions are in common use. Saju and BaZi count from Ipchun, around February 4; many calendars count from Lunar New Year.
